Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer (Automotive)

Location: San Jose, CA, United States

Salary: $200,000–$300,000 annual base salary, plus pre-IPO ISO options and benefits.

What you will do

• Own all aspects of digital SoC verification for advanced automotive communication semiconductors and systems.
• Plan and execute verification and validation with architects, hardware designers, and software engineers.
• Develop and run verification across the full flow, from specifications and test planning through coverage analysis and gate-level simulation.
• Debug simulation failures and identify root causes.
• Build modular, reusable testbench architectures and automate test creation, regressions, and EDA workflows.

Requirements

• 10+ years of ASIC verification experience.
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of ASIC verification fundamentals and industry-standard methodologies.
• Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, UVM, Python, TCL, C, and C++.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ethernet MAC, PHY, switching, TCP/IP, security, PCIe, or other standard networking protocols.
• Knowledge of video standards, digital signal-processing filters, third-party IP, SerDes, controllers, or processors.
• Experience reusing pre-silicon and post-silicon tests and infrastructure.
• Knowledge of SystemC or DPI.
