EDA Software Engineer (FPGA)

What you will do

• Specify, implement, and maintain software data models representing increasingly sophisticated FPGA devices.
• Develop high-performance APIs for accessing FPGA device databases.
• Support algorithms for synthesis, placement, routing, timing analysis, and power analysis.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to bring next-generation FPGA devices to Quartus Prime.
• Develop tools that support and improve the FPGA device bring-up process.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, 4+ years with a master’s degree, or 8+ years with a Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
• Excellent programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Applicants must be eligible for any required U.S. export authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience developing EDA tools, internal applications, or APIs.
• Knowledge of graph-based algorithms.
• Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL.
• Background in FPGA architecture and FPGA tools.
