Embedded Semiconductor Engineer (C/C++/Python)

Location: 100% remote within the United States

What you will do

• Design and build software tooling for semiconductor design and verification workflows.
• Develop firmware, drivers, BSPs, and low-level software that interacts directly with silicon.
• Build large-scale EDA execution infrastructure for compute farms and cloud platforms.
• Develop post-silicon validation tooling, including test orchestration, programmable stimulus generation, and result aggregation.
• Build design and characterization data pipelines supporting analytics and ML, along with debugging and diagnostic infrastructure for hardware bring-up.
• Partner with hardware and EDA teams, lead architecture and code reviews, maintain technical documentation, and mentor engineers.

Requirements

• United States work eligibility is required; applicants may be U.S. citizens, Green Card holders, EAD holders, or H-1B transfer candidates.
• New H-1B visa petitions cannot be sponsored for this position.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience, including significant semiconductor industry experience.
• Strong programming skills in C, C++, and Python, plus scripting and automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with EDA, verification, or post-silicon validation, hardware-software interaction, large-scale compute infrastructure, data pipelines, debugging, and technical documentation.

Nice to have

• Exposure to SystemVerilog or other hardware description languages.
• Familiarity with UVM-based verification workflows.
• Experience with cloud-based EDA workflows or ML applied to silicon design.
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
