ASIC Design Automation Engineer

Location: Fort Collins, Colorado, USA; onsite at 4380 Ziegler Road

Annual base salary: USD 129,400–207,000, plus discretionary annual bonus and equity awards.

What you will do

• Define, develop, test, deploy, and support design automation software, methodologies, and ASIC development flows.
• Use Bash, Python, Ruby, and Tcl to automate design tool processes.
• Develop complex tools in C++ and debug tool and design-flow issues for IC designers.
• Support synthesis, placement, routing, and verification of ASIC implementations.
• Provide tool and methodology support and training to engineers across multiple geographies.
• Work with EDA vendors to resolve tool issues and create documentation for custom flows and internal tools.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Proficiency in Perl, Python, Ruby, Tcl, C/C++ in a UNIX/Linux environment.
• Experience with digital logic design, implementation, and Verilog HDL.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, sorting, recursion, stack overflow, and greedy algorithms.
• Experience with static timing analysis and power delivery verification and analysis, plus strong problem-solving and communication skills.
