What you will do
- Provide vision, mentorship, and strategic leadership for an engineering team maintaining secure open source libraries.
- Guide technical direction across language ecosystems, dependency management, and security hardening.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, removing blockers and enabling efficient team operations.
- Oversee build and testing infrastructure to ensure auditable, trusted, and high-quality releases.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to ensure interoperability and consistent security posture.
- Represent the product externally to partners and the open source community.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States
- Proven track record managing and scaling technical teams in OS, language, or security-focused ecosystems.
- Deep understanding of software security, including build systems, pipelines, and vulnerability management.
- Strong grasp of language ecosystems such as Python, Go, Java, or Javascript.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
- Growth mindset focused on aligning technical work with business objectives.

- Hands-on experience with open source language ecosystems, build tools, and automation.
- Experience incorporating AI-driven infrastructure into engineering workflows.
