Salary: $180,000 – $215,000 per year.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain powerful services for the data presentation layer.
• Lead product expansion initiatives, including horizontal integration growth and greenfield development.
• Ensure services meet high security, scalability, and performance standards.
• Coordinate across product, engineering, and support teams to define and deliver impactful solutions.
• Debug complex issues across the stack using modern observability tooling.
• Deploy code daily and promote clean, maintainable, and testable code standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional backend development experience in a startup environment.
• Proven track record of leading and delivering large, ambiguous product initiatives.
• Deep experience with APIs, distributed systems, and system design.
• Proficiency with Node.js, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
• Experience with cloud providers (AWS preferred) and CI/CD best practices.
• Strong business communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with TDD.
• Specific experience with OAuth authentication.
• Experience with distributed messaging systems.
