Compensation: $140,000–$251,200

What you will do

• Lead and mentor 10+ engineers across React Native and Golang-based backend services.
• Define multi-quarter modernization plans, architectural directions, and system migrations.
• Ensure predictable delivery against roadmaps, OKRs, and engineering fundamentals.
• Establish engineering metrics and improve operational readiness (SLOs, observability, incident management).
• Partner with Product, UX, and Data Science stakeholders to align technical strategy with business goals.
• Champion AI-assisted engineering practices and high-performance team culture.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional engineering experience, ideally in customer-facing or real-time systems.
• 2+ years of formal experience in people management.
• Strong background in designing high-availability, distributed systems.
• Proven ability to guide technical decisions across both frontend and backend domains.
• Must be based near Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis to support hybrid work.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
