What you will do

• Oversee engineering strategy and execution for key Marketplace modules including checkout, delivery experience, and partnerships.
• Lead and mentor a hierarchy of engineering managers and principal engineers to drive organizational excellence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership in product, UX, data science, and infrastructure to deliver business outcomes.
• Set and enforce high engineering standards for architecture, system design, and on-call resilience.
• Manage engineering headcount and investment strategy to support company growth.
• Drive the integration of AI-assisted engineering and ensure robust security and compliance governance.

Requirements

• Must be able to work hybrid from Birmingham, San Francisco, or Minneapolis
• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of professional engineering experience in building high-scale, customer-facing systems.
• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including experience leading other managers.
• 4+ years of specific experience working with Marketplace systems.
• Strong background in distributed architecture, data privacy, and security governance.
