JP Legal Counsel / JP Senior Legal Counsel (AdTech)

What you will do

• Provide legal guidance to global colleagues on commercial activities and legal requirements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents for sales, vendors, partners, licensing, and marketing.
• Manage and streamline corporate legal procedures and processes.
• Research legal issues affecting AdTech and MarTech operations.
• Own product-facing compliance across privacy, AI, advertising, and IAB standards.
• Split work approximately evenly between contract and legal operations work and compliance work.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B.).
• At least one year of legal experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel, using Japanese as a working language.
• Professional proficiency in Japanese and Chinese is required.
• Interest in AdTech or MarTech and willingness to follow changing regulations and industry trends.
• Open-minded, ambitious, and direct communication style.

Nice to have

• Japan or US bar certificate.
• Experience in data compliance.
• Experience in advertising or software.
• Business-level English.
