TL;DR

Manager, Sales Development (SaaS): Leading and scaling outbound sales development teams to generate high-quality pipeline for enterprise and corporate sales with an accent on coaching, data-driven performance management, and sales strategy. Focus on building and developing a diverse team of SDRs, optimizing prospecting workflows through AI-driven tools, and driving cross-functional alignment between sales and marketing.

Location: Must be based in Chicago, IL (Hybrid: in-office Tue–Thu)

Salary: $191,500 – $235,000 (OTE)

What you will do

  • Recruit, onboard, and coach a team of outbound sales development representatives.
  • Foster a culture of active coaching through call shadowing and mock role plays.
  • Ensure efficient prospecting of high-potential accounts using marketing resources and data signals.
  • Drive accountability for daily and weekly metrics and forecast against quarterly goals.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers and Account Executives to ensure lead quality and effective follow-up.
  • Work with cross-functional leaders to develop clear career advancement paths within the sales organization.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of leadership experience in Sales Development.
  • Experience in a closing role or comfortable with full-cycle outbound sales.
  • Strong background using Salesforce, sales automation platforms like Outreach or Salesloft, and AI-driven sales tools.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Marketing and Enterprise Sales teams.
  • Proven ability to hire, onboard, and develop direct reports early in their sales careers.
  • Must be able to work from the Chicago office 3 days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience in driving business outcomes through data-driven insights.
  • Fluency in emerging AI technologies for sales processes.
