TL;DR
Director of Trust & Safety (Ecommerce): Leading the strategy and execution of fraud prevention, marketplace integrity, and account security programs with an accent on balancing risk mitigation with a seamless customer experience. Location: Must be based in the U.S. and able to work in a hybrid capacity from the Chicago, IL office 1-3 times per week.
Salary: $152,000 - $198,000 USD per year

What you will do
- Lead teams in fraud detection, dispute management, and marketplace integrity to minimize risk while ensuring a smooth user experience.
- Develop and implement marketplace policies and governance processes to identify and mitigate abusive activity.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to integrate risk-based controls and automated detection systems.
- Manage key performance metrics to provide insights into risk trends and operational efficiency.
- Drive the long-term strategy for Trust & Safety while mentoring and developing high-performing teams.
- Perform root cause analyses to continuously refine controls and improve detection accuracy.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Fraud, or Risk management, preferably in an e-commerce or marketplace setting.
- 5+ years of experience leading operational teams within a professional environment.
- Proven expertise in fraud patterns, abuse prevention, and the use of detection technologies/tools.
- Ability to articulate complex strategies and trade-offs to senior leadership.
- Must be based in the U.S. (excluding Alaska and Hawaii).

- Prior experience using fraud and risk management platforms, such as Accertify.
