What you will do
- Lead compliance efforts and risk assessments related to the Digital Services Act (DSA) for Snap in the EU/UK timezone
- Engage with regulators and stakeholders on DSA matters, including travel for meetings
- Advise engineering, product, and design teams on privacy-by-design and legal compliance
- Analyze legal and safety risks for new products and technologies
- Develop regulatory compliance strategies and support go-to-market plans
- Implement technology-driven legal processes, including AI tools, to support fast-moving teams
- Conduct company-wide trainings on DSA and related legal requirements
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in London with onsite work 4+ days per week
- JD degree or foreign equivalent and active bar membership
- 8+ years of legal practice experience, preferably in platform and privacy law
- Strong expertise in EU digital legislation including DSA and GDPR
- Experience working with engineering and product teams on legal compliance
- Excellent legal judgment and ability to communicate complex issues effectively
Nice to have
- Experience building relationships with regulators across multiple jurisdictions
- Knowledge of US and global platform/privacy laws and compliance strategies
- Understanding of AI-related legal challenges and opportunities
- In-house legal experience in technology and platform safety/privacy matters
