What you will do

• Partner with the Commercial organization to scale play opportunities in expanded retail and experiential verticals.
• Develop scalable program frameworks that enable Magic play in new environments.
• Own strategy and execution across Magic play for new-to-play acquisition initiatives.
• Establish clear success metrics for acquisition and expansion programs and use data-driven insights to optimize performance.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the central Play Team and internal international teams on play-related initiatives.
• Influence cross-functional stakeholders across Commercial, Marketing, Organized Play, and Regional teams to drive coordinated execution.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
• Proven success launching or scaling programs in retail, experiential, or group-focused environments.
• Experience crafting and executing acquisition strategies with measurable business impact.
• Strong strategic thinking paired with operational excellence and follow-through.
• Ability to influence without direct authority in a global, matrixed organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level storytelling.

Nice to have

• Experience working with international markets and regional teams.
• Bilingual or multilingual capabilities, especially fluency in Japanese.
• Familiarity with hobby retail, specialty retail, or entertainment verticals.
• Experience in live events, organized play, or community ecosystem development.
• Passion for Magic: The Gathering and tabletop gaming.
