IT Sales Engineer

IT Sales Engineer (MSP/Cybersecurity): Driving pre-sales engagement for Managed IT and Cybersecurity solutions with an accent on technical discovery, solution design, and proposal development. Focus on partnering with sales teams to assess client infrastructure, presenting technical recommendations to stakeholders, and closing recurring revenue deals.

Location: Must be based in Pleasanton, CA. Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

Salary: $80,000 – $110,000 base + commission/bonus.

What you will do

• Partner with sales teams to drive Managed IT and Cybersecurity opportunities.
• Lead technical discovery sessions to assess client environments and goals.
• Design and present tailored solutions across infrastructure, networking, and cloud.
• Support the full sales lifecycle including proposal development and SOW creation.
• Build trusted relationships with clients as a technical advisor.
• Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.

Requirements

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.
• Proven experience in IT Sales Engineering or technical pre-sales.
• Solid background in MSP environments including cloud, networking, and backup/DR.
• Ability to create professional proposals and technical solution recommendations.
• Relevant IT certifications such as Network+, Security+, or Microsoft certifications.
• Strong communication skills for presenting to executive and technical stakeholders.
