Salary: $282,000–$363,000 annually

• Define and drive the technical strategy for core platform systems and infrastructure.
• Lead and scale high-performing engineering teams, establishing best-in-class operating models.

• Ensure system reliability, observability, and performance at scale.
• Translate complex operational signals into actionable improvements for customer outcomes.
• Foster a culture of humility, empathy, and technical excellence within the engineering organization.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing and scaling large software engineering teams (30+).
• Deep expertise in modern platform architecture, including databases, APIs, DevOps, and observability.
• Hands-on experience deploying and operating distributed systems in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong command of log, metric, and trace management to improve system insights.
• Experience running containerized systems and orchestration platforms at scale.
• Must be based in or able to commute to San Francisco, CA.

Nice to have

• Prior experience building and maintaining AI infrastructure.
• Experience working in public safety or government-facing software domains.
