What you will do

• Lead and develop a team of engineers across shared platform and forward-deployed tracks.
• Define and execute the technical strategy for compute, networking, observability, and CI/CD.
• Manage operational logistics, including staffing, capacity planning, and incident response.
• Own the production reliability of institutional-grade systems.
• Lead technical execution of client engagements and interface with tier-1 institutional clients.
• Determine the balance between generalized platform capabilities and bespoke engagement code.

Requirements

• Track record leading platform or infrastructure teams in production-critical environments (e.g., financial infrastructure, custody, or payments).
• Experience managing small, high-performing senior engineering teams.
• Strong operational expertise in managing concurrent workstreams and incident response.
• Deep technical proficiency in architecture review and system design.
• Experience with forward-deployed or solutions-engineering models.
• Must be based in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Blockchain or protocol experience (staking, validators, MPC, DeFi).
• Experience with HSMs, threshold signing, or secure enclaves.
• Background working with tier-1 financial institutions.
• Experience scaling a forward-deployed engineering function from early stage.
