Senior Counsel

TL;DR

Senior Counsel (Legal): Providing comprehensive legal support across commercial contracts, employment, privacy, compliance, and intellectual property within a fast-paced B2B SaaS environment with an accent on SaaS commercial contracting and legal risk management. Focus on drafting and negotiating contracts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and translating legal guidance into practical business solutions.

Location: Remote within the United States excluding California and New York metro areas

Salary: $160,000 - $190,000 USD

What you will do

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts including SaaS agreements, vendor, and partner contracts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, Security, and Product teams on legal and business risk issues.
• Provide legal support for HR, employment, product compliance, marketing, and privacy initiatives.
• Identify and escalate legal and regulatory risks with practical, business-aligned recommendations.
• Support legal department operations, processes, templates, and playbook improvements.
• Assist General Counsel with governance, compliance, policy development, and outside counsel management.

Requirements

• Must be licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction with JD from an accredited law school.
• 5+ years of legal experience including law firm and in-house roles, preferably in technology or SaaS.
• Strong knowledge of SaaS commercial contracting and software business legal issues.
• Excellent contract drafting, negotiation skills, and ability to translate legal risk into business context.
• Self-starter comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to pass federal, state, and county background checks and complete local in-person verification.
