Location: Must be based in or near McLean, Virginia

Salary: $160,300 – $214,400

What you will do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to penetrate and expand the footprint within state and local government agencies.
  • Identify and nurture relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers at all levels.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact and qualification to contract closure.
  • Conduct compelling product demonstrations and presentations articulating value propositions for government needs.
  • Navigate complex procurement processes, including RFPs and various contract vehicles.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Solution Architects, and Marketing teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 5+ years of successful enterprise software or SaaS sales experience, specifically with government entities.
  • Deep understanding of the state and local government landscape, procurement processes, and political dynamics.
  • Ability to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences.

Nice to have

  • Existing network and relationships within southeast state agencies.
  • Experience selling CRM solutions to the public sector.
  • Familiarity with government-specific compliance and security requirements.
