TL;DR

Sales Development Representative: Discovering and screening potential customers who can benefit from the company's products and services with an accent on researching leads, starting new relationships, and setting up sales closers for success. Focus on generating leads, building relationships, and identifying practices to refine lead generation.

Location: This is a hybrid role in office Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday in San Diego, CA

Salary: $52,000 - $70000 USD + monthly commission

What you will do

  • Generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding new potential sales outlets.
  • Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects, engaging Regional Sales Managers for next steps.
  • Identify prospects' unique needs and suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Set up meetings between prospective customers and Sales Managers.
  • Utilize Salesforce, cold calling, and email to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Report weekly, monthly, and quarterly results to the Inside Sales Manager.

Requirements

  • Creative problem-solving approach to the sales process.
  • Strong pipeline-creation and prospecting ability, including cold-calling.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbal) and work independently.
  • Strong time management and organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience effectively managing relationships with a customer-first orientation.
  • Willing to travel throughout the US to conferences.

Nice to have

  • 1-2 years of Sales or Marketing experience.
  • Proficiency within Salesforce (or other CRM software).
  • Prior experience as a Sales Development Rep with a track record of achieving sales quotas.
  • Telematics or transportation/fleet industry experience.
