BI Engineer (Gaming): Develop and maintain BI dashboards, data models, and fraud detection systems for PuzzlePlay's loyalty and rewards ecosystem within . Focus on building scalable data foundations, advanced SQL analytics, and leading fraud investigations to protect gaming products.
Location: Berlin, Germany with hybrid work format

What you will do
- Develop and maintain Looker dashboards and reports for in-app metrics and user acquisition channels.
- Design metric logic, build aggregate tables, and own data modelling for high-scale reporting.
- Write custom SQL rules to detect suspicious user behavior and lead fraud investigations.
- Create business-facing documentation including metric definitions and data dictionaries.
- Collaborate with UA, Product, Data Engineering, and Analytics teams to incorporate new data sources.
- Define and document BI best practices and guide business areas for consistency.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in Berlin, Germany or able to work hybrid from this location
- Experience with Looker or similar BI tools and advanced SQL (Snowflake, BigQuery).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data analytics, dashboarding, and fraud detection.
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work with large datasets and develop behavior-based heuristics or detection systems.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Python or R programming languages.
- Experience with Looker APIs.
- Background in mobile app, ad tech, or gaming industries.
- Experience working with product and user acquisition teams.
