TL;DR

Vice President Sales (SaaS): Leading the sales department for utility software solutions with an accent on driving revenue growth and accurate forecasting. Location: Must be based in Canada or the US. Role requires approximately 50% travel, necessitating a valid passport or visa.

Salary: Base $120k–$200k + Commission up to $250k (Total Comp $120k–$450k).

What you will do

  • Accountable for all sales department activities including monthly bookings and cost forecasting.
  • Drive proactive sales strategy to identify opportunities beyond reactive RFP responses.
  • Develop and implement quota and commission plans for the sales team.
  • Present software solutions to executives and key utility sector stakeholders.
  • Manage P&L responsibilities for the department with high forecast predictability.
  • Foster relationships with current clients, prospects, and industry consultants.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise software sales.
  • Proven track record in the Utilities industry.
  • Experience growing and managing a high-performing sales team.
  • Strong financial acumen including management of OPEX and P&L.
  • Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
  • Excellent presentation, leadership, and strategic planning skills.
