TL;DR

Vice President Sales (Utilities): Leading sales efforts to maximize revenue and manage a sales team for utility software solutions with an accent on strategic forecasting, P&L accountability, and business development. Focus on driving proactive sales strategies, managing diverse projects, and fostering client relationships across North America.

Location: Remote within Canada and the US only

Salary: $120,000–$200,000 base plus commission up to $250,000

What you will do

  • Lead all sales department activities ensuring accurate forecasting and cost management.
  • Present at customer meetings and internal functions to support business development.
  • Generate new business and maintain relationships with clients and prospects.
  • Ensure sales metrics and P&L responsibilities are met with reliable forecasting.
  • Develop competitive sales strategies and campaigns for emerging products.
  • Manage and develop the sales team’s performance and commission plans.

Requirements

  • Must have 10+ years in enterprise software sales or utilities industry experience.
  • Experience managing and growing sales teams.
  • Strong presentation skills to executives and end users.
  • Effective leadership with decision-making and organizational skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
  • Must be located in Canada or the US with valid passport/visa for travel.

Nice to have

  • Utilities industry experience.
  • Proven financial management of sales teams including OPEX and P&L.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and sales events simultaneously.
  • Skill in driving outcomes with efficient resource use.
