What you will do

  • Drive revenue from sales of sequencing instruments and consumables in the defined territory.
  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales plans to exceed quarterly and annual objectives.
  • Cultivate the existing customer base and qualify new opportunities through strategic relationship building.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and economic buyers.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to effectively communicate product capabilities to customers.
  • Utilize CRM systems for pipeline management, accurate forecasting, and internal communication.

Requirements

  • Scientific or technical degree is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of direct sales experience selling into life sciences and/or clinical research markets.
  • Significant experience in capital equipment sales and territory management.
  • Proven ability to influence buying decisions and navigate high-value orders through complex organizations.
  • Current authorization to work in the United States without the need for present or future sponsorship.
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% and maintain a home office in proximity to a major airport.

  • Advanced degree.
  • Experience with genomics products.
  • Strong professional network within the defined geography.
  • Proficiency in interfacing with C-level executives (CEO, CTO, CSO, CFO).
  • Strong public speaking skills and ability to handle technical objections.
