Shopify POS Launch Lead (Shopify POS)

Location: Canada or the USA; remote-first with on-site store rollout support, approximately 25% travel, and working-hour alignment to Eastern Time or Pacific Time

What you will do

• Partner with retail operations, store leadership, and headquarters stakeholders to document current workflows and define future-state processes.
• Translate operational findings into SOPs, job aids, checklists, and store-readiness materials.
• Configure and validate Shopify POS settings, including Smart Grid organization and location settings.
• Build and deliver role-based training for store associates and managers through live in-person and remote sessions.
• Own rollout execution, including cutover plans, launch-day support, issue triage, and post-launch hypercare.
• Coordinate with technical architects, engineering, IT, vendors, and client teams on customizations, hardware, MDM, network, and infrastructure decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in retail systems rollouts, POS implementation, store systems, or retail operations enablement.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify POS, POSOS, or a closely equivalent platform.
• Experience leading multi-store rollouts with on-site training and go-live support.
• Strong operational SOP and documentation skills, with the ability to coach associates and managers in fast-paced store environments.
• Ability to travel in rollout waves, including periods of intensive on-site launch support; occasional off-hours work may be required during cutovers.
• Ability to align working hours to Eastern Time or Pacific Time.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating from Square, Lightspeed, NCR, or another legacy POS into Shopify POS.
• Familiarity with receiving, transfers, cycle counts, and full inventory counts.
• Shopify POS Launch and Operations training or a verified skills badge.
