Salary: $95,300 - $158,800 USD nationally; $112,574 - $179,826 USD if performed in New Jersey.

What you will do

• Design and enhance conversational AI experiences, focusing on user interaction patterns.
• Optimize conversational agent responses to meet user expectations for length and information presentation.
• Apply behavioral science principles to design mechanisms that nudge user behavior toward better outcomes.
• Prototype conversational experiences and validate them with users to help communicate concepts before development.
• Track performance of Conversational AI agents using qualitative and quantitative data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and Data Scientists in an agile development environment.
• Drive the creation and take ownership of hirify.global’s Conversational AI design Framework.

Requirements

• Current experience as a prompt engineer.
• Strong Python proficiency.
• Experience with large language model APIs (OpenAI, Cohere, Anthropic).
• Deep expertise in prompt techniques (zero-shot, few-shot, chain-of-thought, function-calling, role prompts) and evaluation methodologies.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), knowledge bases, or RAG pipelines.
• Familiarity with vector databases or embedding models (e.g., FAISS, Pinecone) and information retrieval concepts.
• Familiarity with safety, bias mitigation, and privacy considerations in AI systems.
