What you will do
- Lead and develop a team of platform and environment engineers focused on software-defined infrastructure, automation, and observability.
- Own the lifecycle of engineering environments across production and non-production, ensuring release-readiness and compliance with financial services controls.
- Drive automation and standardization using Infrastructure as Code and configuration management, tightly integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Build and evolve platform capabilities that enable self-service provisioning, consistency, and repeatability for development teams.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, alerting, and logging to support application reliability and regulatory expectations.
- Lead large-scale platform improvement programs, modernizing legacy environment patterns and reducing technical debt.
Requirements
- Strong engineering leadership experience with a software or platform-first mindset, ideally in regulated or complex environments.
- Proven experience leading Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE teams.
- Hands-on familiarity with on-premise private cloud and public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, Terraform, and Puppet.
- Experience delivering platform modernization and technical debt reduction programmes at scale.
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycles, release management, and deployment strategies in regulated environments.
- Ability to engage deeply with engineers on system design, reliability, and architectural trade-offs.
