What you will do

• Lead teams building core platform systems for artifact records, policy control, and package delivery.
• Collaborate with Principal Engineers, Product, and Security teams to shape technical direction and architecture.
• Manage the full delivery lifecycle from discovery and implementation to release and operation.
• Hire, coach, and develop high-performing engineers while maintaining high technical and operational standards.
• Conduct design reviews and lead incident learning to improve system reliability, observability, and performance.

Requirements

• Must be based in the United Kingdom or Ireland.
• Must have the right to work independently without requiring sponsorship.
• Significant experience as an Engineering Manager, Technical Lead, Staff, or Principal Engineer.
• Deep expertise in backend, distributed systems, and cloud-native SaaS (AWS, containers, CI/CD).
• Ability to read production code and challenge complex technical designs and architecture.
• Proven track record of hiring and developing senior engineering talent.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Django, Postgres, ClickHouse, or Terraform.
• Knowledge of Kafka, Kinesis, Flink, CDC pipelines, or search infrastructure.
• Background in package registries, artifact storage, or high-volume HTTP systems.
