What you will do

• Conduct legal risk assessments for product features throughout their lifecycle.
• Review, advise on, and negotiate a variety of technology-related agreements, including complex inbound and outbound licenses, data processing (GDPR, CCPA), and information security agreements.
• Develop scalable product review processes and legal playbooks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional business teams on legal, regulatory, and corporate matters.
• Advise on governance and commercialization of AI features.
• Assess IP risk associated with third-party software and embedded technologies.

Requirements

• JD and bar admission in good standing in at least one state in the U.S. or equivalent in your local residency.
• 5+ years of technology related in-house legal experience with a software company (preferably in the SaaS industry).
• 8+ years of experience as a practicing attorney.
• Significant experience with data protection laws, open source, and AI regulation.
• Experience negotiating non-standard and strategic licensing agreements.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
