Senior Manager - Group Regulatory Policy (Fintech): Coordinate, develop and deliver the Group-wide regulatory policy strategy and influencing approach with an accent on the consumer and conduct agenda. Focus on monitoring and assessing emerging regulatory developments, prioritising high-impact issues, devising effective advocacy strategies and providing counsel to senior leadership.
Location: Hybrid (at least two days per week or 40% of time at office sites) in Bristol, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Halifax or Leeds (UK)
Salary: £78,098 - £91,880

What you will do
- Monitor and assess regulatory developments and trends.
- Coordinate efforts across teams to define positions on high-impact developments and avoid conflicting messages.
- Identify and prioritise policy issues aligned with Group strategy.
- Collaborate with risk, compliance, legal and corporate affairs teams to inform strategy from regulator interactions.
- Provide counsel to leadership, write briefings and draft communications for external engagement.
- Develop external relationships with HMT and others, maintaining engagement plans.
Requirements
- Strong background in regulatory policy, especially consumer and conduct regulation.
- Expertise in influencing regulatory developments and external networking.
- Recent experience in regulatory policy development for regulators or financial services firms.
- Ability to deliver autonomously with minimal oversight.
- Excellent organisational, written and verbal communication skills.
- Resilience under pressure and flexibility for urgent requests.
