TL;DR

Director, Strategic Events (AI): Building and leading Lila’s global external events function, owning a portfolio of high-impact programs with an accent on driving pipeline, relationships, talent, and brand. Focus on developing strategic roadmaps, defining objectives and KPIs, and designing immersive experiences for diverse senior audiences.

Location: Cambridge, MA USA. Requires willingness to travel 25–40% for events and on‑site execution.

Salary: $140,000 – $186,667 USD per year

What you will do

  • Develop a 12–18 month strategic events roadmap aligned with company priorities and GTM motions.
  • Define clear objectives and KPIs for each event, focusing on pipeline, revenue influence, and relationships.
  • Own strategy and execution for flagship and executive-level events, including programming and audience journeys.
  • Lead cross-functional planning with MarCom, Commercial, BizOps, Federal/Policy, Talent, and Science/AI/Robotics teams.
  • Manage budgets, agencies, and vendors, including sponsorships and production partners.
  • Design immersive experiences and demos that bring Lila’s AI platform and scientific breakthroughs to life.

Requirements

  • 10–15+ years in strategic events, event marketing, or experiential marketing, ideally in B2B tech, life sciences, or AI.
  • Proven track record owning a global events portfolio that serves multiple senior audiences.
  • Strong program management skills and comfort operating in a fast-moving, highly cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to define and track event ROI, working with CRM and marketing tools (e.g., Salesforce).
  • Excellent storytelling and communication skills, with the range to speak credibly to diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience managing vendors and influencing C-suite leaders.
