Product Management II (AI)

Product Management II (AI): Owning data product features for Microsoft’s geospatial services, including Bing Maps, Local Search, and Copilot, with an accent on technical understanding and AI concepts to meet business and customer needs. Location: Redmond, United States. This is a hybrid role, requiring employees within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. to work from the office at least four days per week.

Salary: USD $100,600 – $199,000 per year (most U.S. locations); USD $131,400 – $215,400 per year (San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area).

What you will do

• Own data product features supporting Microsoft’s geospatial services, including Bing Maps, Local Search, and Copilot.
• Work with partner teams to understand their requirements and inform product decisions.
• Translate complex technical and AI concepts to understand gaps and opportunities for data product improvement.
• Leverage AI to identify unmet customer needs and perform competitive analysis.
• Apply data-driven insights to assess product performance, identify risks, and implement improvements.
• Define product features, requirements, and success measures to meet partner and customer data needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 2+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
• Good communication skills, curiosity, and ability to reduce ambiguity within your area.
• Must be able to commute to a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. at least four days per week.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience.
• 2+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market.
• Experience creating geospatial or mapping products.
• Experience working with large location-enabled datasets.
• Experience creating web search features.
• Experience working with AI technologies, Retrieval Augment Generation systems, AI agents, or workflow automation.
