Systems Lead - Programme (Systems Engineering): Assuring the hierarchical implementation of ISO 15288 processes and practices across the Systems Engineering life cycle for assigned programmes with an accent on owning the technical solution and managing its delivery. Location: Onsite in Maidenhead, UK. Applicants must be British Citizens resident in the UK for the past 5-10 years to obtain required security clearance.

What you will do

• Lead the Systems discipline within assigned programmes, owning work packages and tasks to meet agreed processes, plans, quality, schedule, and budget.
• Support the Engineering Programme Lead by defining team resources and delegating responsibilities to system project teams.
• Develop technical capabilities and solutions for complex engineering problems, ensuring alignment with Systems Engineering practices.
• Provide technical direction and influence across programmes, guiding optimal approaches, processes, and architectures.
• Plan and deliver design reviews to senior management and customers, ensuring clarity and successful outcomes.
• Manage security of information in compliance with Government regulations and lead line management duties for team members.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or relevant Defence/Aerospace industry experience.
• Significant experience with Systems Engineering, its lifecycle, System of Systems principles, and capability delivery.
• Demonstrable experience implementing the full Engineering lifecycle per ISO/IEEE/IEC standards.
• Technical and Line management experience leading a team of systems engineers across programmes.
• Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate UK security clearance (British Citizen resident in the UK for 5-10 years required).
• Strong experience in developing high-quality requirements and establishing compliant solutions.

Nice to have

• INCOSE recognition (ASEP/CSEP/ESEP).
• Experience as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME).
• Familiarity with NCSC security processes and related artefact delivery.
