Systems Engineer - Nuclear Hardening

What you will do

• Design, develop, and capture end-to-end system needs, expectations, boundaries, functions, constraints, and trade-offs.
• Elicit and validate Nuclear Hardening requirements across the complete system lifecycle.
• Identify mitigations based on the installation environment and define responses for military fixed ground installations.
• Produce Nuclear Hardening analysis, mitigation plans, and relevant test plans.
• Lead engagement with customers and test houses to define and agree the Nuclear Hardening approach.
• Define system architectures with IS/IT specialists and deliver safe, reliable systems that minimise operational costs.

Requirements

• Professional-level experience in Systems Engineering.
• Experience with Radiation Hardening or Nuclear Hardening at systems level, including design and development.
• Understanding of how radiation impacts communications equipment.
• Experience with verification and validation (V&V).
• Eligibility to gain SC Security Clearance, ideally Developed Vetting (DV), is required.
• Availability to travel a couple of times per year.
