What you will do

• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary teams of software engineers to deliver complex subsea robotics projects.
• Design software architectures for complex industrial systems from scratch.
• Manage project delivery, resource allocation, and budget planning while ensuring best-practice industry standards.
• Maintain a system-level approach to design, ensuring requirements are derived and met effectively.
• Interface directly with customers to communicate technical concepts and project status.
• Ensure high software quality and robust safety compliance across all project phases.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Senior Engineer.
• Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline.
• Broad understanding of software from embedded layers through to application interfaces.
• Expertise in developing architectures for complex systems and managing system-level requirements.
• Ability to undergo workforce screening including National Security Vetting and security interviews.
• Must be authorized to work in the United Kingdom.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with IP video routing and real-time information systems using Web Sockets.
• Experience with DDS, message queues (Active MQ/Rabbit MQ), and GUI development frameworks.
• Knowledge of cyber security impacts on software design.
• Practical experience in customer-facing APIs using modern web technologies.
