Systems Engineer - TEMPEST/EMC

Location: Portsmouth, United Kingdom; hybrid working. The role requires eligibility to gain SC Security Clearance, ideally DV, and travel a couple of times a year.

What you will do

• Specify systems while balancing safety, quality, performance, cost, environmental, operational, and industrial requirements.
• Work with stakeholders to define end-to-end needs, expectations, and solution boundaries.
• Elicit and validate TEMPEST and EMC requirements across the complete system lifecycle.
• Develop safe, reliable systems that minimise operational costs and maximise performance throughout their lifecycle.
• Define system architectures and evaluate functions, constraints, and trade-offs with IS/IT specialists.
• Discuss requirements with suppliers of equipment, hardware, software, and firmware.

Requirements

• Experience developing systems models and simulation products.
• Strong TEMPEST and EMC experience.
• Interest in learning how TEMPEST and EMC are applied at Airbus.
• Eligibility to gain SC Security Clearance; DV eligibility is preferred.
• Ability to travel a couple of times a year.

Nice to have

• EMC compliance experience, such as MIL-STD-461.
