What you will do

• Lead, enable, and coach a Solutions Engineering team, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
• Work closely with prospects and customers, improving the team’s technical expertise.
• Ensure equitable workload distribution and support new team member integration.
• Partner with peer sales leaders to drive to revenue targets.
• Aid the team by collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support to create scalable solutions.
• Act as a player/coach, stepping into the field when necessary and leading by example.

Requirements

• 15+ years of pre-sales / SE experience in a reputable IT company.
• 5+ years of experience as a frontline or second level SE manager role.
• Strong understanding of the UKI market with a proven track record of business engagements.
• Demonstrable experience in coaching, leadership skills, and team management.
• Expertise in internet technologies: OSI Model layers 1-7, BGP, TCP/UDP, DNS (authoritative and recursive), HTTP(S), SSL / TLS.
• Technical curiosity and passion for staying up-to-date with industry trends.
• Ability to make intelligent business decisions to drive revenue targets.
• Fluent English required.

Nice to have

• BSc/MSc or equivalent degree in a technology-related field or an MBA.
• Demonstrated experience with a scripting or programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Bash, Go).
• Industry and technology certifications.
• Exposure to emerging technical trends like Zero Trust and Serverless computing.
• Experience in Cloud project deployments.
• Speaking another European language in addition to English.
