Senior Engineering Manager, IT Solutions

Location: London, United Kingdom; hybrid model with a minimum of 60% office time over a 12-week period. Work from abroad is permitted for up to 28 days.

What you will do

• Lead multiple engineering teams and support engineers and managers through coaching, feedback, and performance management.
• Own end-to-end delivery for white-label retailing and Digital Pay as You Go products.
• Partner with Product, Data, and Commercial stakeholders on roadmaps tied to technical, business, and revenue outcomes.
• Provide technical leadership across system interactions, APIs, and data flows.
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies, prioritisation, and execution.
• Drive scalable engineering practices, monitoring, technical health, and incident management.

Requirements

• Significant experience leading engineering teams and complex, multi-team initiatives in a B2B or platform environment.
• Demonstrated success building high-performing teams and developing future leaders.
• Experience working across technical, product, and commercial domains.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Experience with distributed systems or microservices architectures.
• Experience managing managers or leading multiple teams is beneficial.

• Understanding of the UK rail industry.
• Experience with travel distribution platforms or white-label B2B products.
