TL;DR

Senior Account Manager (Memberships, Arts and Culture, Higher Education): Managing high-quality client relationships and growing business opportunities within the professional membership, arts and culture, and higher education sectors. Focus on understanding sector-specific needs, delivering effective agency partnerships, and achieving financial targets.

Location: Hybrid (United Kingdom) with choice to work from home or attend hubs around the country. Some travel to clients or to attend regular team days is expected.

What you will do

  • Effectively manage day-to-day relationships with high-quality clients, ensuring satisfaction and exceeding expectations.
  • Collaborate with the sector delivery team to ensure efficient project handovers and project success.
  • Act as the first escalation point for client issues regarding project or support delivery.
  • Manage contractual obligations, risks, and the commercial health of client accounts to maintain acceptable margins.
  • Develop deep understanding of client and sector challenges to build long-term, mutually valuable relationships.
  • Identify and convert new commercial opportunities with existing clients to meet financial targets.

Requirements

  • Three to five years of commercial experience developing digital transformation and web platform opportunities.
  • Proven work experience as a Senior Account Manager within an agency, ideally digital, focusing on membership, visitor attraction, and/or higher education institutes.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Confident financial planning and reporting skills.
  • Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent listening abilities.
