What you will do

• Lead product design for social core experiences end-to-end (friends, groups, communities, events).
• Set clear team direction, define problems, and align stakeholders to translate strategy into shippable work.
• Partner with Product Management and Engineering in agile cycles, driving concepts and iterative design.
• Drive cross-platform design across VR, desktop, mobile, and web, adapting patterns while maintaining coherence.
• Design with systems thinking, establishing reusable interaction patterns and contributing to the Voyager UI design system.
• Stay close to users and community behavior, working with research, data, community, and trust & safety partners.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional product design experience, having shipped significant, user-facing products with cross-functional partners.
• Strong UX craft across flows, interaction design, prototyping, and systems thinking.
• Comfortable designing across platforms and input modes, adapting patterns without losing consistency or usability.
• Ability to operate like a lead: setting direction, creating alignment, and driving decisions.
• Thrives in ambiguity, turning fuzzy spaces into clear outcomes and making smart tradeoffs.
• Low-ego, high-agency collaborator who seeks feedback and helps teams do their best work.

Nice to have

• Experience leading design for social platforms, community features, or event/discovery systems.
• Familiarity with trust & safety, moderation, privacy, identity, or integrity systems.
• Experience designing for VR/AR/spatial interfaces or cross-platform ecosystems.
• Comfort collaborating with technically complex systems (state-heavy flows, roles/permissions, real-time/async social).
• Genuine interest in social VR, online communities, and digital self-expression.
