Mid Market Account Executive (AI, SLED): Selling 's security solutions to State, Local, and Education (SLED) agencies with an accent on early pipeline development, public sector pain point identification, and complex sales negotiation. Focus on driving new annual recurring revenue, managing the entire sales cycle, and maintaining accurate account data across systems.
Location: Remote (USA), preferably local to the New York area.
Salary: $85,000–$100,000 USD

What you will do
- Sell Abnormal security solutions to SLED agencies to overachieve new annual recurring revenue quota.
- Manage accounts from initial conversations through contract signing and up-selling.
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities to build a sufficient sales pipeline.
- Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure timely renewals and identify expansion opportunities.
- Document results and maintain accurate data across sales systems (Salesforce, Highspot, Close Plan).
- Act as a customer/prospect voice for internal teams (Sales Engineering, Product, Marketing) to prioritize revenue closure.
Requirements
- 2+ years of direct sales experience prospecting and closing SLED accounts.
- Proven track record of success closing new Account Logos, cross-selling, and up-selling existing customer accounts.
- Skill in negotiating with large organizations and closing complex sales.
- Proven consistent over-quota performance and/or top 5% of sales organization.
- Technically competent in security, email, cloud, and AI.
- Experience selling subscription software/SaaS, particularly cybersecurity solutions to CISOs and security personnel.
- Success at an early-stage startup company.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience.
- English: B2 required.
- Work authorization for the USA is required.
