What you will do

• Own development practices and technical standards for the team.
• Drive engineering design, technical architecture, and make critical decisions.
• Understand, prioritize, and deliver the feature roadmap while managing technical debt.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, developers, and QA.
• Communicate team progress and perception, and assist the Support team with technical issues.
• Drive recruitment, continuously improve team productivity, and foster team morale.
• Own the careers of team members, provide feedback, and manage annual reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical field OR equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing a high-performing engineering team.
• Minimum of 6 years of object-oriented software development experience as an individual contributor.
• Experience developing software in a commercial software product development environment.
• Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies.
• Experience building large-scale performance services.
• Experience leading teams that built software products for scale.
• Clear and confident spoken and written English communication.
