TL;DR

Manager, Email & Marketing Automation (Marketing Automation): Lead and evolve lifecycle marketing, driving performance across client portfolios and developing a high-performing team with an accent on strategy definition, performance standards, and data-informed optimization. Focus on translating business objectives into scalable customer journey frameworks and ensuring measurable revenue impact.

Location: Remote (USA) or Hybrid in Chicago. Offices also available in Cologne.

Salary: $90,000–$110,000 USD

What you will do

  • Define and lead lifecycle and automation strategies across client accounts to drive engagement, retention, and revenue.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable customer journey frameworks.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of email and marketing automation specialists.
  • Serve as a senior strategic advisor to clients, leading performance reviews and roadmap discussions.
  • Standardize processes, frameworks, and reporting across accounts for operational excellence.
  • Contribute to forecasting and profitability management within the channel.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in digital marketing, including strong experience in email, lifecycle, or marketing automation.
  • Proven track record of driving measurable engagement and revenue impact.
  • Experience leading teams in a client-facing or performance-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, segmentation strategy, and analytics.
  • Confident communicator with experience presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • High ownership mindset and ability to operate in a growth-oriented environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with platforms such as Emarsys, HubSpot, or Marketo.
