TL;DR

Software Architect (Web Applications): Designing and guiding the development of user experiences for a global travel search engine, with an accent on UI architecture, end-to-end ownership, and technical debt reduction. Focus on leveraging AI tools for efficiency, mentoring teams, and ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions for car rental products.

Location: Hybrid, required to work from the Concord, MA office at least 3 days per week.

Salary: $160,000.00 – $200,000.00

What you will do

  • Work on the global Cars product, serving millions of users.
  • Collaborate with designers, product managers, and commercial stakeholders as a product expert.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of the UI, including testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues.
  • Drive technical debt reduction and improve code quality across the team.
  • Leverage AI coding tools to enhance personal and team efficiency.
  • Provide mentorship, conduct pull request reviews, and offer architectural design assistance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a quantitative/technical field.
  • 8+ years developing web applications using CSS, HTML, and JavaScript (with a preference for TypeScript).
  • 8+ years working with React or a comparable modern UI framework.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and frameworks to improve job functions.
  • Expertise with end-to-end testing and test-driven development.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with a proven ability to guide teams through architectural transitions.
