TL;DR
Director of Experience Strategy (Healthcare): Leading project discovery and synthesizing findings into actionable insights and strategy for UX, Design, and Content solutions, specifically within the digital consumer healthcare ecosystem. Focus on developing KPI frameworks, creating patient-centric personas and customer journeys, and driving digital transformation for hospital systems.
Location: Remote (United States). Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
Salary: $150,000-$190,000 annually

What you will do
- Lead project discovery, including auditing, benchmarking, and senior stakeholder interviews, potentially with user research.
- Synthesize discovery findings into actionable insights and strategic direction for UX, Design, and Content solutions.
- Develop KPI frameworks, measurement, and optimization plans.
- Create healthcare-centric personas, map customer journeys, and provide UX recommendations.
- Partner with Healthcare executive leaders and new business teams on proposals.
- Lead experience strategy for end-to-end digital transformation efforts within hospital and healthcare systems.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience working in healthcare and authorized to work in the U.S.
- Highly strategic thinker with deep domain knowledge in the healthcare industry.
- Experience designing and developing experience workshops and leading stakeholder interviews for senior clients.
- Ability to lead with vision, inspire, and manage/mentor junior strategists and UX designers.
- Experience estimating and scoping client projects.
- Understanding of HIPAA-Compliance and Healthcare personalization strategies.
- Experience with digital transformation projects for complex hospital systems.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with content strategies (patient information, service line marketing, academic medicine research).
- Familiarity with metadata taxonomy for content automation and experience design.
- Knowledge of academic medicine and research operations.
