Salary: $218,025—$256,500 USD

What you will do

• Lead engineering teams responsible for building mission-critical systems for institutional crypto products.
• Collaborate with product, design, and leadership to translate the vision into a tangible roadmap and lead iterative design and implementation.
• Provide thoughtful technical guidance, aid in diligent architectural decisions, and foster a culture of high-quality and operational excellence.
• Coach direct reports to have a positive impact on the organization and support their career growth.
• Work closely with the talent organization to identify and recruit exceptional engineers.
• Contribute to and take ownership of processes that drive engineering quality and meet SLAs.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in software engineering.
• At least 1 year of engineering management experience.
• Ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term planning.
• Experience in creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale.
• Ability to be hands-on when needed, including writing/reviewing code, participating in on-call rotations, and troubleshooting bugs.
• Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.

Nice to have

• Experience with rapid company growth (from 10 to 100s of engineers).
• Experience with Blockchains (such as Bitcoin, Ethereum).
• Experience with Golang, Ruby, Docker, Sinatra, Rails, Postgres.
• Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
• Crypto-forward experience, including familiarity with onchain activity, ENS, and dApps.
