TL;DR

Engineering Manager (Fintech): Leading technical direction and execution for growth engineering initiatives, with an accent on driving new customer acquisition through scalable systems across SEO, paid marketing, and user incentives. Focus on defining focused roadmaps, ensuring high-quality delivery on AWS, and developing engineering talent.

Location: Must be based in our Menlo Park, CA office, with in-person attendance expected at least 4 days per week.

Salary: $230,000 - $270,000 USD (Menlo Park, CA)

What you will do

  • Partner with Product Managers to define and prioritize roadmaps across SEO, paid marketing systems, and incentive programs.
  • Lead the design and delivery of scalable systems on AWS that support customer acquisition and campaign optimization.
  • Manage and develop engineers through clear goals, regular feedback, and career development planning.
  • Collaborate with Data Science and Marketing teams to evaluate performance data and improve acquisition and funded account outcomes.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2–3+ years managing engineers directly.
  • Experience building and operating distributed systems using AWS or similar cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience partnering with Product to scope initiatives and deliver against defined business objectives.
  • Background in SEO platforms, web systems for organic acquisition, paid marketing optimization, growth experimentation, or related domains.
  • Ability to balance hands-on technical leadership with people management and operational execution.
