Engineering Manager (SaaS): Leads a dedicated engineering team, fostering innovation and excellence while setting ambitious goals and streamlining operations, with an accent on SaaS product development, technical leadership, and positive societal impact through technology. Focus on facilitating the expansion of AI features across the platform, leading architectural improvements, and taking new product modules from 0 to 1.

Location: Hybrid. Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and work from the San Francisco office on Mondays and Thursdays.

Salary: $240,000–$330,000

What you will do

  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled engineers, fostering continuous learning, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute the technical roadmap, aligning with business objectives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end development process, ensuring delivery of high-quality, user-friendly software for child welfare.
  • Drive innovation by staying ahead of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Implement and champion agile development methodologies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams for at least 5-7 years, ideally in a SaaS or tech start-up environment.
  • Strong technical background with experience in full-stack development, cloud computing, and scalable architecture.
  • Ability to align technical strategies with business priorities and goals.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • A genuine interest in leveraging technology to address social challenges.
  • English: B2 required.
