TL;DR

Account Manager: Independently managing customer requests and business requirements to develop and maintain long-term relationships with assigned customers with an accent on retaining and growing account sales through contract negotiation and promotion of new products. Focus on leading negotiations, structuring financing solutions, and ensuring overall customer satisfaction for business transactions.

Location: Onsite in Boston, MA, USA

Salary: $110,000–$130,000 per year plus a 15% bonus target.

What you will do

  • Retain and grow relationships and business opportunities with assigned customer accounts, with emphasis on closing contracts.
  • Develop and maintain quality relationships with customers at operations and executive levels.
  • Promote new programs, products, and services to achieve annual business plans and growth objectives.
  • Lead client negotiations, including contract preparation and structuring financing solutions.
  • Manage customer relationships to address and resolve billing disputes or collections issues.
  • Develop and update quarterly business plans to meet objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Marketing, or related field required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in account management and business development, providing technical, business, and financial solutions.
  • Strong ability to interpret, develop, and negotiate intricate agreements to influence long-term sales contracts.
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate options, understand competitive positions, and successfully negotiate business.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including thorough working knowledge of financial aspects and calculating ROI using Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to build rapport with clients and create customized solutions.

Nice to have

  • Experience within the Energy & Utilities industry.
  • Previous experience working in the U.S. energy markets (natural gas, oil, coal and electricity) or adjacent industries.
