Location: Remote within LATAM, with a strong focus on Brazil-specific employment and payroll laws.

What you will do

  • Act as a subject matter expert on Brazil and LATAM employment law and compliance.
  • Create and implement HR policies, processes, and handbooks for LATAM regions to ensure compliance with local laws.
  • Advise the HRBP team on performance management, talent acquisition, compensation strategy, and overall compliance in the region.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with local vendors and labor organizations.
  • Manage the local office presence, including shaping strategy, contract negotiations, and vendor management.
  • Select, implement, calculate, and process payroll, payroll taxes, withholdings, and deductions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in HR and Payroll as a Manager, Generalist, or equivalent role.
  • Extensive knowledge of Brazil employment and payroll laws and compliance is required.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver scalable people programs.
  • Experience in employee relations and HR operations in Brazil.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interpret and visualize data.
  • Advanced Portuguese and English language skills are required.

Nice to have

  • Experience dealing with PEOs and/or orchestrating a transition from a PEO to direct employment.
  • Experience with Mexico employment law.
