What you will do

• Lead the technical architecture and implementation of a new BI platform, integrating real-time data and intelligent alerting.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership in Python/R development, SQL optimization, and data pipeline architecture.
• Oversee data infrastructure leveraging tools like Airflow, Containers, Kafka, InfluxDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of 5 data professionals (Data Scientists and Data Analysts).
• Champion data science and machine learning initiatives, including LLMs and AI-powered insight generation.
• Partner with Product and Development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data roles (Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, or Business Intelligence).
• 3+ years of proven experience leading and managing data teams.
• Expert proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and automation.
• Strong SQL skills and deep understanding of data warehousing concepts and architectures.
• Experience with modern data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow) and containerization.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, InfluxDB, or time-series databases.
• Background in real-time data streaming and processing architectures.
• Hands-on experience building with LLMs or integrating AI/ML capabilities.
• Knowledge of vector databases and modern AI architectures.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and the online gambling/gaming industry.
