About the Role
You will own and operate the platforms that power intelligence data products, spanning ingestion, batch and real-time processing, serving layers, and customer-facing APIs. You will design and build foundational AI architecture for production, improve the speed and overhead of delivering models and data products, and set technical direction for reliable, scalable systems. You will work closely with data scientists to make experimentation and deployment seamless, hire and grow two sub-teams spanning data infrastructure through product delivery, and make pragmatic technical decisions that balance speed and long-term maintainability.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on data or engineering experience
- 4+ years of direct people management
- Experience owning production systems at scale (customer-facing data products, APIs, or decisioning engines)
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Experience with BigQuery, Airflow, and data lake architectures
- Experience with serving layers and production model deployment
- Regular use of AI tools to accelerate development
- Strong system design and debugging skills
Responsibilities
- Own the platform supporting petabyte-scale intelligence products
- Build foundational AI architecture for production systems
- Drive improvements in speed and overhead for model and data product delivery
- Lead and hire two sub-teams spanning data infrastructure to product delivery
- Set technical direction for production systems and platform investments
- Build platforms that accelerate data scientists' ability to test and deliver products
- Maintain reliability for batch processing, real-time workflows, and 24/7 APIs
